The Summer of Service website was remarkably effective for us as far as volunteers go - we had three who volunteered regularly for us this summer after seeing our Lake County Cares listing (and actually two of them brought friends along a few times), and three others who contacted us. Given that we're basically a two-person staff, those numbers are great. We got a lot of projects done this summer with the help of those volunteers. I hope this is able to continue.

I did get a good response from the Summer of Service program again this year. The students from Lake Forest High School and other schools did an excellent job here at Kids’ Korner volunteering.
