LAKE COUNTY MUNICIPALITIES: How Can Your City Get Started? Lake County Cares invites you to become a Partner City and feel the immediate benefits of promoting your city government and community volunteer opportunities to prospective volunteers on our highly-trafficked website. As a city manager or administrator this is your megaphone to broadcast your needs. Remember: sometimes people don’t volunteer unless they’re asked, or invited. Take advantage of this unique portal for promoting and updating your volunteer needs 24/7. Be creative and explore innovative ways that your municipality could benefit from the time and talent of skilled volunteers.
As a Partner City, City Managers eceive their own login and password for the Give & Get Back portal. Once in, they can post and update their city government and/or community volunteer needs 24/7. Prospective volunteers who visit the Lake County Cares website can enter the Give & Get Back portal simply by entering their city’s zip code and being connected to the many ways to make a difference in their community. Here they can view all of the current opportunities available, respond directly to a specific opportunity, register to assist with their city’s “Day of Service” (an al a carte service offered to Partner Cities by Lake County Cares), and read news and information about successful volunteer efforts, or unique needs, posted by their Partner City.
Click on the New Register bar in the upper left corner to get started!
